Routine Maintenance and Service Status
The aircraft tracks component wear and degradation over time, simulating realistic maintenance needs. As components age, their likelihood of failure increases.
Aircraft Status Presets
Quickly set the overall condition of all components:
- Open the Control Bar settings (gear icon)
- Select from:
- New: Fresh aircraft, good maintenance
- Fair: Mid-life aircraft, average maintenance
- Worn: End of service life, poor overall maintenance
This is useful for practicing maintenance scenarios or simulating an older aircraft.
Routine Service
Replenish consumable items:
- Ensure you're on the ground with engines off
- Click the service icon in the Control Bar
- Wait for the service timer to complete
Servicing refills:
- Engine fire suppression bottles
- Cargo fire suppression agents
- Engine oil levels
- Other consumables
It also resets disconnected IDGs (Integrated Drive Generators) if applicable.
Any timers can be skipped via the icon on the top right of the app while in progress.
