Anti-Ice

ENG 2 A-ICE DUCT

1. ENGINE 2 THROTTLE - IDLE

  • Move Engine 2 throttle to the IDLE position.

2. ENGINE 2 FUEL SWITCH - OFF

  • Move Engine 2 fuel switch to the OFF position.

3. ENGINE 2 BLEED AIR SWITCH - OFF

  • Move Engine 2 BLEED AIR Switch to the OFF position.

4. PACK 2 SWITCH - OFF

  • Move the Pack 2 switch to the OFF position.

5. 1-2 ISOL SWITCH - ON

  • Move the 1-2 ISOL switch to the ON position.

6. ASSOCIATED TANK PUMPs - OFF

  • Move the associated tank pumps to the OFF position.

7. TCAS / ATC MODE SELECTOR - TA ONLY

  • Move the TCAS / ATC Mode selector to the TA ONLY position

8. LAND AT NEAREST SUITABLE AIRPORT

  • Landing at the nearest suitable airport for aircraft repair.

TAIL A-ICE DISAG

AIRCRAFT ON GROUND

IF THE AIRCRAFT IS IN FLIGHT, SKIP TO TAIL ANTI-ICE SWITCH OFF

1. TAIL ANTI-ICE SWITCH - OFF

  • Move the tail anti-ice switch to the OFF position.

2. AIR APU SWITCH - OFF

  • Move the AIR APU switch to the OFF position.

    Instruct ground crew to remove external air.

3. BLEED AIR 2 SWITCH - VERIFY OFF

  • Verify the BLEED AIR 2 switch is set in the OFF position.

4. 1-2 ISOL SWITCH - VERIFY OFF

  • Verify the 1-2 ISOL switch is set in the OFF position.

TAIL ANTI-ICE SWITCH OFF

IF THE TAIL ANTI-ICE SWITCH IS ON, SKIP TO DEPART / AVOID ICING AREA

Wait until after landing

5. BLEED AIR 2 SWITCH - OFF

  • Set the BLEED AIR 2 switch to the OFF position.

6. 1-2 ISOL SWITCH - OFF

  • Set the 1-2 ISOL switch to the OFF position.

After landing, do not pressurize pneumatic system 2.

Depart / avoid icing area.

ANTI-ICE SYSTEM MANUAL

IF THE ANTI-ICE SYSTEM IS IN AUTO, SKIP TO LAND WITH MAXIMUM 35° FLAPS

After departing the icing area


7. TAIL ANTI-ICE SWITCH - OFF

  • Set the tail anti-ice switch to the OFF position.

Land with a maximum of 35° flaps.

WING A-ICE 1 / 2 DISAG

CAUTION

Slats may be damaged if wing anti-ice is operated on ground for more than 30 seconds.

AIRCRAFT ON GROUND

IF THE AIRCRAFT IS IN FLIGHT, SKIP TO WING ANTI-ICE SWITCH OFF


1. WING ANTI-ICE SWITCH - OFF

  • Move the WING anti-ice switch to the OFF position.
  • Instruct ground crew to remove external air.

2. ASSOCIATED BLEED AIR 1 OR 3 SWITCH - VERIFY OFF

  • Verify the Associated BLEED AIR 1 or 3 switch is set in the OFF position.

3. ASSOCIATED ISOL SWITCH(ES) - VERIFY OFF

  • Verify the Associated ISOL switch is set in the OFF position.
